try this :: threading

in my never ending quest for perfect brows (and the next new thing), i popped into Beauty By Dolly in Hillcrest for sugaring (see this post.) and found out that they only do threading on brows.  i'd hear of this, so i decided to give it a go and i'm a fan! does it hurt?  duh. but really no more than waxing or plucking and it is super quick. plus, i liked that there's no hot wax so close to my eyes #makesmenervous. if you're in the san diego area, definitely check out Beauty By Dolly - it's walk-in only, they can pretty much always see you right away and it's very inexpensive. def my new spot!  xo, k

remember us?  yeah, we know, we've been pretty MIA lately...but we have good excuses!  all of you people insist on getting married when it's beautiful and sunny out, so T has been swamped, shooting weddings, engagement photos - check out what she's been up to here.  

as for me? i have some big news!  on monday my dad and I will be hitting the road from PDX to SAN with a u-haul filled with all of my belongings (more than i realized, as i'm packing today!), with my Volvo in tow.  yep, i'm moving back to san diego! i'm beyond sad to say goodbye to my bffs in PDX, but i am excited for sun and new adventures + mbah will finally be in the same city! we'll be back next week and posting more than ever.  have a fab weekend! xoxo, t & k

(they were voted BEST NEW ARTIST in San Diego in 2010)
this "dirty blues duo" (as they call themselves) consists of cc on drums & frontman, tone - and they kill it together!
i love these two and this album and think you should check them out!

Long weekend, here I come!

I'm headed down to San Diego tomorrow morning, bright and early, to celebrate birthday #31, (the first time ever it's fallen ON Easter. Weird, huh?!) and hang with family and friends. I am especially excited to reunite with my blogging counterpart, Taryn, for some serious catching up. Texting, e-mailing and talking on the phone just doesn't compare to actual face time! Yay!

Going, going, back, back to Cali, Cali...

Not for good, just to celebrate my 30th next month. I cannot WAIT to see my family and friends, especially Miss Taryn for a bloody mary or two. I was perusing the F21 website for some cheap summer clothes, crossing my fingers that Portland is really going to see some sun this weekend and I found this.

Um, LOVE. And for $7, I might just buy it to clean house in.
