Now, I'm obsessed with barre3. It's an amazing workout! It's a combination of pilates, yoga and ballet and it incorporates small, light weights, a ball, strap and the ballet barre. It's truly the only workout that I never get sick of doing and I literally can hardly walk the next day, it's so challenging. As the owner put it to me when I was nervous to take my first class, "No matter how fit (or not fit) you are, you can do it...but it will totally kick your ass!"
Barre3 was started by a gal here in Portland, so if you're local, definitely sign up, there's a studio in the Pearl and in SE. If you're not living in Portland, there are classes popping up everywhere that incorporate the ballet barre and I urge you to give it a shot! You won't regret it!
