marina (who goes by the stage name of marina and the diamonds) is a singer/songwriter who was number two on the the BBC Sound of 2010 poll list. The Diamonds are usually mistaken for marina's backup band, but the diamonds however are what she calls her fans. her unique voice and fun music just make me want to dance and sing along. she just released her first full-length album, titled The Family Jewels, and i can't stop listening to it! and the best part is she's playing at the troubadour in hollywood in july... and i just got tickets! :) what a great place to see her! dana and i are going... so come join us if you can! click here for tickets! i'll have to give you guys an update after the show to let you know how she was live...
