Shoe-Genius!

I have this problem. I have big feet and skinny calves and I cannot for the life of me find boots that don't make me look like I'm a child wearing my mom's shoes. I know, I know, this is a "nice problem to have", but it is seriously frustrating! On the flip side, I know a lot of peeps who have a hard time getting boots to zip up around their more muscular calves. Enter Duo. This boot line from London has like 21 calf widths to choose from! It's spendy, for sure, but maybe worth it. What do you think? Do you know anybody who's tried these out?

Pendleton :: Opening Ceremony

I heart collaborations. Especially when it involves bringing new life to an old-school Portland brand and making it majorly hip. Pendleton Woolen Mills has been around for over 140 years and recently partnered with Opening Ceremony.

I'm not sold on the jumpsuit, but I would totally rock this dress and skirt!

Pendleton also makes the blankets for the Ace Hotel in Portland. LOVE. Nothing says winter like a cozy wool blanket!

mac x disney

how fun is the new collection from mac, inspired by the "venomous villains" from disney movies?
there are 4 characters they based the collection on - cruella de vil from "101 dalmations", the evil queen from "Snow White", Maleficient from "Sleeping Beauty", and Dr. Facilier from "The Princess and the Frog".

i want to get my hands on some of these nail polish colors!  what fun iridescent shades!

Going green with goats.

How awesome and totally Portland is this? I love that they're using goats to clear an abandoned lot of weeds! This is super close to downtown!

Tunes I Love Tuesday: Dynamite Walls

Dynamite Walls rocks. Frontman, Tom Pritchard, is a good friend of mine from highschool and he's 100% adorable. He's been working super hard to make it in the music world for a long time, so I couldn't be more excited that his band, Dynamite Walls, is absolutely killing it!! They even won BEST POP BAND at the San Diego Music Awards! Not to mention, they are all extremely H-O-T. Now if only they'd come to Portland again!

Check 'em out and then go support them on Itunes! They're good people. :)

Getting fingerprinted...

I'm stealing this post from a gal that I used to work with who has moved onto bigger and better things . . . working for Fresh Home Magazine in NY! This was on her Freshhome blog yesterday . . . if you aren't already follower, sign up. She has a great eye!

How rad are these hand-cut fingerprints by Lori Danelle?! Love!

L'arnacoeur

Last night I caught a flick at the Living Room Theater with two of my fave Portland gals. In Portland we have theater pubs that usually involve beer, pizza and a $2 movie right before it comes to Netflix - genius concept (see: McMenamins). The Living Room Theater, however, steps it up with fancier food, drink, ambiance and mainly foreign/independent films... it's a rad place to see a movie!

We saw the French romantic/comedy, Heartbreaker (L'arnacoeur), starring Vanessa Paradis and it was super cute! It's about a sexy French guy who gets paid to break up unhappy relationships. It's not going to change your life or anything, but I'd definitely recommend seeing it. Beautiful scenery, great clothes and Vanessa is absolutely stunning. She's hot even when she's not on Johnny's arm. :)

Halston Heritage

I can't decide if I love the Halston Heritage lamé or not. Do you? Where would you wear these pieces? I think the gold top is definitely do-able.

I do, however, adore this crinkled leather bag. And why does $395 seem so reasonable? Maybe because all of the other bags I've been drooling over today are 4-figures.

Happy Monday! xo
